Volunteering
In August 2026, I volunteered with Aastha: The Foundation of Hope - supporting elderly residents and teaching local schoolgirls mathematics, English, and general knowledge.
I volunteered with Aastha: The Foundation of Hope for the month of August 2026. My work involved supporting elderly residents through grooming assistance, general care, and administrative duties, as well as teaching girls General Knowledge, Mathematics, and English and providing career guidance.
A moment that stayed with me
"She told me she wanted to become an Indian police officer - to support and provide for her family."
One experience that particularly stayed with me was speaking to a 9th-grade girl about her ambition. Hearing it, and understanding the motivation behind it, made the experience more meaningful to me. It showed me how education and guidance can help young students build confidence and pursue goals that extend beyond themselves.
